历经6个月，200多个日日夜夜的精心准备，完美未来之星美术大赛的获奖作品终于诞生。2012年完美未来之星创意大赛以美术为切入领域，因此，完美世界在本届的评委选择方面更注重针对性，邀请了在美术领域有着高深造诣和影响力的大师，包括了概念艺术家Greg Broadmore、Cecil Kim、苏海涛，和高级艺术总监Hugues Martel，DW创始人Fredrik Hultqvist、完美世界首席艺术官鲁晓寅以及CGSociety主编Paul Hellard。在严格的评选模式基础上，本着公正、严谨的评选态度，2012年完美未来之星创意大赛的评委组从初赛作品评审，到复赛作品评审等，逐步筛选，一幅幅精美的获奖作品终于浮出水面，呈现在大家的面前。

I think the eyes have it with this piece. The Red Fighter, entwines the viewer in her thread, staring hard out of the image. The artist combines Depth of Field tricks with fuzzy flotsam floating past furiously. Also, the background hints of a distant vista. And through all of this, the rendition of the silk cloth she wears is flawless. A beautiful creation.

I love the angle of this image. There is a very magical quality about her that screams... hero! She has a strong mix of beauty and power, which is a deadly combo. The addition of red being used as the primary color of this image, the color of blood, vengence, and power... further push this piece towards suggesting she is a true hero (or villain) and someone of great importance (an absolute Star!). I believe, that if the artist went in and finished making the important jewelery on her head more refined/detailed, this image, at least for me, would have placed much higher (possibly even as my 1st place selection). Right now, the details everywhere are blurry, and suggestive. Making them ultra crisp in one place (the head), would have brought even more focus to her beautiful face and break the evenly distributed blurry'ness of the image. It is simply because of this lack of detailed refinement, that she places as fourth. Nevertheless, this image is amazing!! Lot's of personality! Lot's of epic'ness! Lot's of style! Well done!

A room goes silent when this guy enters! The facial expression, pose, costume design, colors... and even the mood of the entire piece, suggests power! Although the image is very monochromatic, there is just enough color to make him extremely interesting. In addition, there are quite a few unique items in the piece that makes my eyes look all over the image to appreciate all the interesting birds, bones, gems, fan, etc, that push the image forward. For style, I particularly enjoy how this piece was painted. Very grunge and painterly, with the edges of everything fading off into the background. With this fading style, this artist was able to clearly define the image's center of focus – which is his face and upper chest area. An excellent piece. Very well done!

The suggestion of love in the form of these two powerful characters holding each others hand, was a great story telling addition. As I write this and look at the entry, I keep being amazed by the amount of details the artist managed to squeeze into this piece without loosing attention to the characters and the focus on their faces. The lighting, atmosphere and mood of this piece is amazing! Although there are details everywhere, the artist made sure to highlight his center of focus by making the characters of this image do fantastic, fantasy-like, classical kungfu jumps high in the air. Additionally, placing the fighting scene on top of a ledge that protrudes from a mountain, and then lighting up the characters with a sunset silhouette... makes the characters and what they are doing feel like it's legendary. The only reason this piece did not place higher for me, is because the image seems a little muddy. The colors seem to fade into each other. It's missing something.. perhaps contrast. This leaves the image feeling a bit too smudged/blended/muddy. Nevertheless, the detailed environment, atmosphere, depth, and style, were all done with amazing talent. To the creator of this work... awesome job!

Seldom does an environment piece stand out more than a character with a strong personality ... but this piece is an extraordinary exception to this rule. The camera angle, choice of colors, lighting,building design, and choice of what to portray (waterfalls, orange seasoned trees, circular clouds, small bridges, etc), give this piece a suggestion of power, personality and epic'ness that surpasses all the rest. Adding an emblem to the building was a great touch. It suggests importance and a possession of a lengthy ancient history. When viewing this image, I get the feeling that mighty heroes train here, or something extremely important to the world is guarded and kept secret within these walls. A very well rendered piece. A lot of thought was put into this design. A story is told just by looking at this image, which reminds of an old english saying, “a picture is worth 1000 words!” To the creator of this piece... I really love the details and lighting depicted in this image. This character looks extremely powerful. You wouldn't find him in a band of thugs, in a troop unit, or in a band of adventures. He looks like he has enough power to travel alone, and to lead others into great things. The engravings on his helmet and shoulder pads further help convince us of his authority. For me, this entry would have placed higher If the silhouette of the character was a bit stronger, and if the perspective of the building and head of the staff, were corrected. There are areas in the piece, like where his back is a straight line (folds should make a big bump when tucked underneath a belt), or when his arm bracer looks paper thin because they do not have a difference in depth where the staff holding hand meets the bracer. Additionally, the perspective of the staff head, and of the building placed in the background, seem a little incorrect. Nevertheless, the above comments are just me being picky. This piece is really extraordinary!! To the creator of this work... Awesome job!!

Tremendous evil in the battlefield, complete with bare chest, green ether and threatening glares. An amazingly complete image with hints throughout of terror, struggle and calamity. The color work in this, together with some imaginative elements taken from history make this a worthy piece for the top five.
